HEAT Home Energy Project
Fuel bills are a major worry for all of us and for the last 18 months our Home Energy Project has been giving free, impartial advice, about how to reduce fuel bills, apply for grants, improve your house insulation and save money. This is especially important for many of the villages around Hadleigh that have no gas supply. It doesn’t matter whether you are an owner occupier, or live in rented accommodation, if you want to know how to save money and help save the planet email Lisa at heatenergy@gmx.co.uk.
Here’s what some people have said about the project:
“I had a home visit from Lisa. The visit was very comprehensive. Lisa was very knowledgeable on matters and I learnt a great deal… Last year I paid £75 pcm for my 2 up 2 down property on combined gas/electrify and this month my bills have been reduced to £57 pcm. Whilst the cost of living has been so high, I have found this to be an excellent way for me to have more control of my finances and what I spend. And it works.”
“ Lisa’s visit showed me how important little things like closing curtains is – our 1970s house has lots of windows! I also learnt how damp air takes longer to heat and the importance of not putting washing on radiators but airing it in a instead with the door closed ands the window slightly open. Lisa is approachable, friendly, helpful and incredibly enthusiastic!”
